Does My Bluetooth Headset Make Me Look Cool?
The answer is: "No. It makes you obnoxious!"

In the last few days I've seen a dramatic increase in sightings of people who insist on wearing their bluetooth headsets in public places. Is there really a need to be wearing it when you're not even using it? Is it necessary to be talking on the phone while you're shopping? Do you HONESTLY believe that showing off your $100 hearing aid makes you more important than the rest of us?
On Wednesday I was in a grocery store and some guy was wondering around the store with his cart engaged in a phone conversation, that sounded useless at best, on a bluetooth headset. Was he trying to convince the other people in the store that he is so important that he must shop and talk at the same time? I walked by him several times and saw him checkout, talking on the phone the whole time.
Just the other day I was watching some baseball highlights on TV and they showed a home run ball landing in the stands. The fat guy who caught the ball had a bluetooth headset on his ear. At a baseball game!!
I was in Bellingham, Washington at Bellis Fair mall with my Mom (who is visiting from Edmonton) and several times we saw people walking through the mall talking to other people wearing their stupid bluetooth headsets.
On the show "24" there are some characters who are coercing the President into doing the bad shit he's doing and they're all wearing bluetooth headsets.
This doesn't bother me to the point of a sleepless night; but I think it is totally rude and obnoxious to wear those things in public. Especially when you're talking to someone else or in the company of other people. It's like you aren't even paying any attention to the people in front of you. There is no one on this planet who is so important that they need to have a headset on 24/7. (I'm sure those people sleep with their headset on) Jack Bauer doesn't even use one...he can do anything!
Some people need something to make them look important. Maybe this hottie here knows something I don't!
